Although some of the photographic processes I use are called “alternative" today, in reality some of them have been around for many decades and, in the infancy of photography, they represented printmaking or processing methods of their time.
All of the images displayed are my original pieces; most of them are one of a kind. All of my bromoil images, B&W images (whether hand colored or toned), originate from darkroom-generated, silver gelatin prints. I sometimes use the same negative repeatedly in different photographic processes. With certain images, I can visualize many different ways it can be presented, and each will have its own unique character.
For real fun & games, come visit my photography forum! ThePhotoBeat.com is a forum of photographers interested in discussion, critique, image sharing - and an occasional themed contest or two. See you there!
Thanks for visiting the galleries! Feel free to drop me a line with any comments or questions - I always love to hear from you.
